DBCT P/L – investing in our local community
sponsorship program
The team at Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal love getting involved in our local community. We value the relationships we’ve formed through engagement, partnerships and sponsorships, and we welcome new opportunities. Our sponsorships offer priority to organisations, groups and events that provide great partnerships and positive outcomes for the community. We are part of the region and we want to support events and organisations that add to the liveability of Mackay. And we understand as one of the biggest employers and economic contributors to the region that we have a responsibility to care for the community that we’re a part of. As part of this, we are looking to grow genuine partnerships within our local and regional communities. To achieve our community involvement aspirations, we invest in partnerships to help shape a sustainable future across a number of key areas.

DBCT P/L – working with our community to tackle local issues
The Community Working Group
The Community Working Group, or CWG, was established to encourage open and transparent communication between the terminal and the community. DBCT P/L representatives host local residents and other local stakeholders at regular meetings to discuss social, environmental and economic issues.
Agenda and minutes of the meetings are available below. Minutes will be published after being ratified at the next bimonthly meeting.
CWG FUND
Our DBCT P/L Community Working Group Fund (CWG) is an opportunity to give back specifically to the communities adjacent to the terminal. We encourage community members to apply for initiatives that help address social, environmental and economic issues in the local area. Every year, we provide up to $10,000 to support these projects, with $5,000 set aside for the Louisa Creek Progress Association for annual maintenance to the Louisa Creek Hall, and the remaining $5,000 is for the CWG representatives to vote on and approve applications.
