DBCT P/L has committed to an ongoing donation in 2022 towards the Mackay Veteran Support Group (MVSG) and your school or community group can benefit!

MVSG can build a variety of items in their workshop; such as mud kitchens, giant Connect 4 games & other activities for children and schools, or sporting and community groups.

DBCT P/L is supporting MVSG by commissioning items to be built, to the value of $8,000, on behalf of local community groups and schools throughout 2022, on request.

Schools & community groups can apply to receive these items, paid for by DBCT P/L. If your school or community group is interested in receiving an item that’s listed below, please email: pr@dbct.com.au

Please note that submitting the above request does not guarantee the item. There is a limit of items per school/group/applicant. Once this allocated budget has been reached, applicants will need to apply for items directly through Mackay Veterans Support Group. DBCT P/L will approve items at their discretion.

Connect 4 game presented to Valley District Youth Council by MVSG & DBCT P/L

Who is MVSG?

The MVSG is a local group of serving and former members of the Australian, Commonwealth and Allied Defence Force. The group was founded in 1997, and they’re currently located in Leisure Court, near BB Print Stadium.

What does MVSG do?

The MVSG members are split into two groups: outdoor maintenance & gardening, and work shed crews. The work shed crews create a variety of woodwork and other items that are donated to local community groups. Bunnings Warehouse is a supporter of the MVSG, and donates supplies. The MVSP also host regular meetings, social get togethers and monthly BBQs. Contact Mackay Veterans Support Group if you know of anyone interested in joining.
